Laptop battery: Tough Time Ahead for Sony

Another fire incident due to laptop battery has led the Japanese Electronics company, Sony, to face a world wide controversy. The company is now thoroughly investigating the matter with a great importance.


Sony spokesmen said that they are looking into the matter and also they have not got any official conformation whether a Sony-made battery was used in the PC.


The last incident of fire took place in the Los Angles international airport form a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop in 16 September. Fire incident in the laptop batteries first came into the scene last month after recalling 4.1 billion lithium-ion laptop batteries by Dell which is a record for highest recalling in the consumer-electronics device. A week later, Apple, another leading laptop manufacturer in the world, recalled 1.8 million batteries. It is noteworthy that both Dell and Apple laptop batteries were made by Sony.


Now, the laptop users are looking into the manufacturers hoping to a quick solution of this avoidable matter.
